I've been working to express how one day I can feel ready to take on a big task, then in the trenches feel discouraged and loose sight of what God said on the mountain.
I'd been seeking direction and felt we had the answer.
A few days later I was so very tempted to dismiss it and go with another feeling..
that valley is still at the root of the same mountain..the word still applies.
In the temptation, I heard Charles Stanley speak about how eager we can be when we are at the top of the mountain, but we have to hang on to what we heard on the mountain when we're in the trenches. While writing this I also heard Karen share about a girl in Kenya who was gushing about the Lord and shared a song she wrote, saying:
Holy, holy, there is nothing God can't turn around.

From The Mountain to the Valley

Holy holy sings a girl…

Holy sings a girl

In a Kenya town

She chants there’s no trial

God can’t turn round

Holy

Cry holy

From the mountain

To the valley.

From the mountain

I could do it all

In the valley

I don’t feel so tall.
A bridge mends the cliffs

A cloud rests in the Light

From the mountain to rifts

It’s your mountain side

Holy

Cry holy

From the mountain

To the valley

Don’t forget

What the preachers see

Roots of the mountain

In the valley.

I heard a brother say

As I tried to choose

East or West, me or them hey

God’s in you

So I’m done washing

These dirty feet

Who I carry

Done made me clean

Holy

Cry holy

From the mountain

To the valley

Don’t forget

What the preachers see

Roots of the mountain

In the valley.

Where you go I will go,

where you live I will live.
